Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden – Mountbatten
Excursion: | Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden |
Centre: | ChildFirst @ Mountbatten |
Date: | March 2015 |
Our ChildFirst @ Mountbatten K2 children took a guided tour of the Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden to learn more about plants. They observed that yams and sweet potatoes grow underground, pineapples grow close to the ground and bananas grow upside down! They also used their sense of smell to identify different types of leaves such as rosemary, lemongrass, basil and curry leaves. It was a fun and fruitful for all.
