Learning Calligraphy – Mountbatten

After a month of school, ChildFirst @ Mountbatten children have successfully adapted their new beginnings in their environment. As part of the teaching contents of our talent workshop, our teachers combined calligraphy learning for the theme of this month, “Chinese New Year,” to teach and guide children in learning and cultivating their interest for Calligraphy.

Learning the different brush strokes of Calligraphy can enhance a child’s aesthetic ability. In the process of writing these strokes, they learnt about attention focus, persistence, endurance, and other good personalities. These qualities can form part of a child’s future social elite needs. At the same time, children also experienced how a traditional Chinese New Year is being celebrated.
