|The Patchwork Quilt
|ChildFirst @ Tampines
The patchwork quilt is also known as the “100 Good Wishes Quilt” as it was originally created by having friends contribute a quilt square as a show of love for a newborn child. Today, it is usually given as blessing or treasured heirloom. In line with the learning theme on “Beautiful Clothes”, the ChildFirst @ Tampines K1 children learnt about the quilt, searched for similar prints on the quilt, explored the different textures of cloth, and cut pieces of the cloth to design their own hundred-families robe.
